When the neon lights are off and the doors are locked you might think the work here is done, but there is always a project happening at the Alabama Theatre! We are currently installing new custom made carpeting that is an exact reproduction of the original 1927 carpet! If you’ve ever made your way up to the top level of the Alabama and noticed the worn and threadbare carpet, you were looking at the last remaining original piece.
Check out our progress so far! This project is taking a little longer than we anticipated (what else is new?!) due to extensive damage on the subfloor, but we are working hard to get finished for the Three Dog Night show next Thursday! Come see The Phantom of the Opera as you’ve never seen it before. The 1925 classic silent film will be played on the big screen featuring Tom Helms playing his original score on Big Bertha, the Alabama Theatre’s Mighty Wurlitzer organ.
Tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for children ages 12 and under. Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster and at the door one hour before showtime. All tickets are general admission, first come, first served.
