Tapping Out Childhood Cancer
September 27, 2015 @ 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
Dancers Fighting Cancer was founded in 2009 by cancer survivor and dancer Alex Swader. Alex survived a battle against Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2008 at the age of 8, and dreamed of how to “pay forward” all the kindness he felt during his 8 long months of intense chemotherapy. Alex created Dancers Fighting Cancer to encourage everyone, especially his beloved dance community, to help raise awareness of childhood cancer, raise funds for pediatric cancer research of the many types of childhood cancers, and show kids living with cancer that they care about them. Alex brings group members to Children’s of Alabama to perform and inspire kids currently fighting, encourages members to collect toys and gifts for the children, and hosts an annual fundraiser called “Tapping Out Childhood Cancer” which has raised almost $115,000.00 as of June 2015. All donated funds directly support research being done at The Alabama Center for Childhood Cancer and Blood Disorders at Children’s of Alabama.

The Historic Alabama Theatre is a Ticketmaster facility.
We can only honor event tickets purchased directly through Ticketmaster. Tickets bought from individuals or third party sites (StubHub, Vivid Seats, Seat Geek, etc.) may not be valid. If you purchase tickets through those sites or individuals you risk purchasing invalid tickets. To guarantee that your ticket be honored, you must purchase through Ticketmaster online. For Ticketmaster customer service, contact (800) 653-8000.
Why can't I buy from somewhere else?
If there is a problem with your ticket, the only way that we can look it up in the ticketing system is if it was purchased from Ticketmaster. You must be able to show identification that matches the name on the ticket, show the account number that was used to purchase the ticket or show the credit card that was used for purchase. It is possible for the purchaser of valid tickets to transfer them to another buyer through Ticketmaster.com or the Ticketmaster app.
