Theatre Auditorium

Known as the "Showplace of the South", the historic Alabama Theatre opened December 26, 1927 as a Paramount movie palace. Once the home of the largest Mickey Mouse Club in the world, the Alabama now hosts a variety of events including opera, ballet, jazz concerts, plays and, of course, classic films. Since 1987, the Alabma Theatre has been operated by Birmingham Landmarks, Inc., a non-profit organization.
